In a daring attack, gunmen, on Sunday, stormed the Marine Police Post of the Lagos State Police Command in the Epe area, exchanging gunfire with the policemen.

The attackers were said to have been on a mission to steal the station’s gunboat and ammunition.

According to reports, the gunmen, numbering about 20 came in a speedboat to the Marine beach at about 12.30am.

However, the timely response of policemen attached to the Epe division, the Rapid Response Squad and the Counter-Terrorism Unit, helped in repelling the attackers.
