Veteran Nollywood actor Kanayo O. Kanayo has declared his intention to vie for a sit in the House of Representatives as he hopes to represent Ahiazu/ Ezinihitte Mbaise Federal Constituency in Imo State.

The actor in a post on his Instagram page also revealed that he’ll be gunning for the post under the platform of the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA.

He wrote; “Hello Friends, good evening. History has been made today as I declared my intention to run for the House of Representatives, Ahiazu/ Ezinihitte Mbaise Federal Constituency, Imo State under the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA. I owe you this information as I enlist your prayers and support.”

His declaration is coming less than a week after Shina Peller, the owner of Quilox nite club officially declared his intention to join the race to represent Oyo in the House of Representatives come 2019.

Reports say the entrepreneur officially declared his intentions of contesting in the 2019 general election under the flagship of the All Progressive Congress (APC).

In a statement, Shina disclosed that he decided to join the race to represent Iseyin, Itesiwaju, Kajola and Iwajowa Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives come 2019 after reflection and extensive consultations.
