Lacazette scores first Arsenal goal from Iwobi assist

Alexandre Lacazette became the first Arsenal player to score in his opening three league appearances at the Emirates Stadium since Brian Marwood in September 1988.

The France international grabbed a brace on Monday night as Arsenal secured a 2-0 victory over West Brom to climb to 7th on the Premier league table.

He broke the deadlock with a header exactly 20th minutes into the game, after goalkeeper Ben Foster tipped Alexis Sanchez’s free-kick onto the crossbar.

Arsenal were later awarded a penalty as Allam Nyom barged into Aaron Ramsey close to the byeline in the 67th minute.

Lacazette stepped up and calmly slotted in his fourth goal since completing a £46.5m transfer from Olympique Lyon this summer.

The win takes the Gunners to seventh on the log, one point behind fourth-placed Tottenham and five behind leaders Manchester City.
