Lagos set to prosecution Danish man who killed his singer wife, 3-yr-old daughter

The Lagos State Government has revealed that all is now set for the trial of Danish national Peter Nielsen, 53, who allegedly killed his Nigerian wife, Zainab Ali-Nielsen, better known in music circles as Alizee, and her three-year-old daughter Petra.

Reports say the suspect will be prosecuted at the High Court of Lagos State for the crime soon even as a statement from the State Government read by the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Adeniji Kazeem, revealed that forensic investigation into the matter disclosed overwhelming and compelling evidence to the effect that the suspect killed his wife, and three-year-old daughter.

The Attorney General added that a prema facie case (evidence) of murder had already been established against the suspect contrary to Section 223 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

The Commissioner said; “The Office of Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice on the 19th of April, 2018 issued Legal Advice to the effect that a prima facie case of murder Contrary to Section 223 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015 has been established against the suspect, Peter Nielsen (M) – a Danish National.

“The suspect is therefore to stand trial; before the High Court of Lagos State for the murder of his Nigerian wife and 3 year old daughter.

“There is overwhelming and compelling evidence both forensic and direct eye witness account showing without doubt that the victims were killed by the suspect. There is also evidence that there was a history of domestic violence against the victim by the suspect,” he added.

Details of the post-mortem examination conducted on the late musician which was made known at a press briefing by the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Imohimi Edgal, last week revealed that the artiste died from trauma.

Edgal said the trauma suffered by the entertainer emanated from the injuries inflicted on her head by her husband.

Revealing more, Edgal said the autopsy on Zainab’s corpse and forensic report gathered from the scene of crime had shown more revelations.

Alizee’s husband, Peter Nielsen, 53, who is in police custody allegedly killed his wife after a heated argument and poisoned her daughter, Petra, on April 5 at his residence at Block 4, Flat 17, Bella Vista Tower, Banana Island, Ikoyi.
