Man docked for shooting wife, 2 sons dead

The long arm of the law has caught up with a 35-year-old man simply identified as Uwaila for fatally shooting his wife and two sons dead.

According to the Edo State Police Command, the unfortunate incident occurred at Ovbiogie village in the Ovia North-East Local Government Area of the state after Uwaila said his wife accused him of extra-marital affairs.

In his confessional statement, Uwaila said he drove out of his house in anger after his wife threatened to also go out with other men but on his return, he discovered that she had locked herself and his sons inside one of the rooms in his house.

In anger, Uwailo said he brought out a gun and shot through the door of the room with the bullets hitting his wife and kids.

The incident was confirmed by Mr. Hakeem Odumosun, the state Police Commissioner, who revealed that Uwailo will have his day in court as soon as investigation into the matter is concluded.
