MTV EMA sparks potential war between Wizkid & Alikiba

A blunder by MTV EMA may have sparked another war between Nigerian artiste, Wizkid and his Tanzanian counterpart; Alikiba after an award earlier given to Wizkid was later withdrawn and given to Alikiba.

Commenting on the controversy which sparked an outcry on social media, an MTV spokesperson said, ‘Both Wizkid and Alikiba are great artistes and deserving winners at the MTV EMAs and we congratulate them wholeheartedly on their achievements. We apologise for any confusion but we are pleased to recognise the achievements of both these artists on this global platform.’

The error by organisers of the MTV EMA which was staged on Sunday, November 6, 2016 now opens a fresh round of beef between the two artistes who were at loggerheads three weeks ago following a backstage argument at the Chris Brown concert in Kenya over who should perform first on stage.
