On seeing the deceased in a pool of her blood, Mrs. Okpojie said she rushed the victim to a near by private hospital where the patient was referred to another hospital.

“I was working at the back of the house when I heard shouting. I rushed the victim to a private hospital when I saw the way she was bleeding. The doctor at the hospital said it was an internal bleeding and that I should take her away so I called the husband to come.”

When reached, Osifo Abiodun, the state’s police spokesman, revealed that he was not aware of the incident as he was yet to be briefed.

According to Ediale Ikhuoria, the husband of the deceased, his wife only went to request for money she borrowed Mama Emmanuel when she was killed.

“My wife borrowed the attacker N1,000 and when she demanded for the money, Mama Emmanuel stabbed her. She killed my wife. My wife was six months pregnant. She died on Monday morning.”
