Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) and chairman of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) Presidential Review Panel, Ambassador Babagana Kingibe will, on Tuesday, February 13, appear before House of Representatives’ Committee on Public Safety and National Intelligence.

Kingibe, who has been allegedly indicted by the immediate past acting director general of NIA, Ambassador Mohammed Dauda, over the movement of the $44 million, is to appear alongside other members of the panel.

The members include Mr. Albert K. Horsfall, a former DG of the State Security Service; Mr. Olaniyi Oladeji, Mr. Z.Y. Ibrahim, both former DGs of the NIA and the current DG of NIA, Amb. Mohammed Rufai Abubakar, who was PRP Secretary.

Kingibe’s summons was contained in a letter addressed to the SGF, Engr. Boss Mustapha and signed by the chairman of the committee on public safety and national intelligence, Aminu Sani Jaji.

In the letter, with reference number: NASS/ HR/8/CT.80/IV/326, dated January 30, 2018, the committee frowned at the nonappearance of Kingibe despite invitations to that effect.
