Oshiomhole hits at Wike: Stop wasting Rivers money in Edo
The Edo State governor, Adams Oshiomhole, has admonished Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, to stop wasting Rivers State money on the Edo State governorship election.
Oshiomhole, who spoke through the state Commissioner of Information, Prince Kassim Afegbua, on Friday, said Governor Wike should rather pay the salaries of workers in Rivers State who have not been paid for several months.
He also accused Wike of squandering the lean resources of the people of Rivers State on the Edo election.
According to Oshiomhole, it was laughable that Wike would talk about governance when he has been unable to pay his state workers’ salaries for several months.
“Rather than waste Rivers people’s money in Edo State, keep Rivers people’s money for them. He should be reminded that Edo voters are not gullible like voters elsewhere and their level of sophistication would make the September 28 election a smooth sail for the All Progressives Congress, APC. It is our responsibility to caution Governor Wike before he exports his gangsterism to Edo State”, Oshiomhole said.
