Oshoala relishes debut goal with Arsenal

Super Falcons striker, Asisat Oshoala, has expressed delight after scoring on his debut for Arsenal Ladies as they Gunners recorded a 3-1 win over Reading FC Women at Meadow ParkWednesday night.

The Nigerian international who few days back sealed a move from Liverpool Ladies, praised her teammates and coaches for helping her settle down easily.

“I feel great and happy for scoring on my debut game. I thank my coaches and teammates for the confidence as I hope to reciprocate with more goals,” he told New Telegraph.

Dominique Jansse put the Gunners ahead in the 34th minute, before Oshoala was denied by the woodwork nine minutes before the break.

However, she was not to be denied in the second half, as she calmly rounded the goalkeeper and slotted into an empty net.

Boho Sayo pulled one back for Reading, but Danielle Carter restored a two-goal lead for Arsenal.
