Pandemonium in Ondo community as timber contractor is struck dead by thunder

There was chaos in the ifira Akoko, area of Ondo State when a timber contractor was struck dead by thunder while he was cutting down an iroko tree at a farm area.

According to reports, there were two persons at the farm when the incident happened, but the thunder only killed the victim identified as Aluko Ramoni.

The incident was confirmed by Superintendent Biodun Ojediran, the Divisional Police Officer in Isua in Akoko South-East Local Government Area of the state.

He said the deceased died in the farm while cutting the tree and also added that investigation into the incident had commenced.

Femi Joseph, the State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) also confirmed the incident, describing it as an unfortunate occurrence.
