The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has taken possession of a palatial mansion said to belong to one Chidiebere Silas, a Personal Asistant (PA) to George Turnah.

The mansion is located in Abaja Nwangele LGA, IMO State.

Turnah, a political godson of former President Goodluck Jonathan, is also a former Special Adviser to Dan Abia, erstwhile Managing Director of Niger Delta Development Commission.

The EFCC had last week seized several properties allegedly belonging to Turnah, who is facing prosecution before a Federal High Court in Port Harcourt.

The court presided over by Justice Ibrahim Watila, on Friday admitted Turnah to bail in the sum of N300m, and two sureties in like sum.

The court ruled that one of the surety must be a paramount ruler.

Aside the monarch, whose office should be recognised by the government of the state and his letter of authority verified and deposited in the court, the other surety should be an owner of a property and the original Certificate of Occupancy of the property should be deposited with the registry of the court.
