PHOTOSCENE: Buhari marks independence with soldiers fighting Boko Haram in Maiduguri
President Muhammadu Buhari on Sunday visited troops of the Nigerian Armed Forces at the headquarters of Operation Lafiya Dole in Maiduguri Borno State in celebration of the country’s 57th Independence anniversary.
Troops of the Operation Lafiya Dole are actively engaged in fighting the terrorist group Boko Haram in north east Nigeria.
Among those on the President’s entourage were Shehu of Borno Alhaji Abubakar Garbai, Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar; Chief of Defence staff, General AG Olanisakin; Borno State Governor, Kashim Shettima, Chief of Army Staff; Lt Gen. T.Y. Buratai, Chief of Naval Staff Vice Admiral IE Ibas and Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari.

Of what good is Buhari’s viist to these soldiers? Will it restore their health or brink back the bloods they lost during the battle against Boko Haram
