Police to arrest anyone with more than N5000 at the polling centres

The Nigerian Police has vowed to arrest anyone with more than N5000 on him or her at the polling centres.

According to the force, the measure was to ensure that voters are not induced and manipulation with monetary gift during the exercise.

This is even as police further promised adequate security during the poll.

On several occasions in Nigeria elections, voters have always been induced at the polling grounds with monetary and other gifts by corrupt politicians and their supporters, this case was so visible in the last governorship election in Edo State.
