Pregnant woman dies on board Lagos flight

A pregnant female passenger on board an Arik Air flight from Port Harcourt to Lagos died mid-air on Friday.

The lady identified as Ijeoma Nwokedi was travelling with her husband and cousin when she reportedly developed complications mid-air, and was pronounced dead on arrival at the Murtala Muhammed Airport Domestic Terminal 1.

A statement by Adebanji Ola, Arik Air’s PR and Communications Manager, stated that the The cause of death, has yet to be ascertained.

The Lagos Airport Police Command also confirmed the incident.

This is coming barely 24 hours after another female passenger died on Thursday in one of the toilets of the Murtala Mohammed International Airport.
