Ronaldo’s agent rules out Man Utd return

Cristiano Ronaldo’s agent has played down the speculation linking the Real Madrid star with a sensational transfer back to Manchester United.

The 30-year-old has been relentlessly linked with a move back to the club he left for a world-record fee back in 2009 and was touted as a possible target for Louis van Gaal’s side during the summer transfer window.

Ronaldo has also been linked with a big-money move to Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain in recent weeks amid reports he could be set to leave Real Madrid, where he is the top goal-scorer with 326 strikes to his name.

However, his agent Jorge Mendes has stated that he fully expects Ronaldo to finish his career at the Bernabeu and does not expect him to return to the Premier League.

Mendes told Sky Sports: “There is lots of speculation and a new story every day.

“But if you ask me I would say Cristiano will finish his career with Real Madrid and be there for many, many years.”

United return to Premier League action with a home clash against West Bromwich Albion on Saturday afternoon. The Red Devils are fourth in the table.
