The Super Sand Eagles of Nigeria defeated the Black Sharks of Ghana on Thursday night at the on-going 2016 CAF Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations at the Eko Atlantic beach, Lagos.
Sand Eagles, who needed a win against their fellow West Africans in order to progress to the semi-final of the tournament, emerged victorious as the game ended 4-3.
With a minute and 46 seconds left on the clock, Tale fired home from a tight angle to put the Sand Eagles ahead till the end.
With the 4-3 win, Eagles finished with six points level with Egypt in Group A; but in spite of the Pharaohs having a healthier goal advantage after defeating Cote D’Ivoire 4-2, the Eagles finished in second place on head-to-head rule, having earlier beaten Egypt 3-2 in match-day 1.
