Shehu Sani joins new party

Ohanaeze Ndigbo has lambasted immediate past Kaduna Central senator, Shehu Sani, for allegedly advising the governing All Progressives Congress (APC) to zone 2023 presidency to the South West.

The deputy national publicity secretary of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chuks Ibegbu, who spoke to newsmen in Umuahia on Tuesday, described Sani’s alleged statement as irresponsible.

“This type of Sani’s thinking is responsible for the current state of the nation. How can a Senator of that calibre who claims to be an activist have this kind of warped political reasoning devoid of justice and equity?” He asked.

Ibegbu said since the South East geo-political zone was yet to produce an executive President of Igbo extraction, it would be fair that after the North, the zone should be allowed to produce the next President.

He then urged South East politicians to enter into alliances with other zones to enable the South East occupy the number one seat of the nation.
