Student shot dead after driving into crowd, stabbing people

Tragedy struck at the Ohio State University when a knife-wielding student ran over pedestrians with a car and then stabbed many in sight with a butchers knife at the OSU campus in Colombus.

Calm was however restored on the campus and the scene of the incident is now secure after the assailant was shot dead by police with report revealing that no less than 11 people were taken to local hospitals with one of them said to be in a critical state.

OSU said in a statement that the “injuries include stab wounds, injury by motor vehicle and other injuries that are being evaluated” and that “facts are still being verified.”

The suspect was identified as Abdul Razak Ali Artan, an OSU student, officials said at a press conference after the incident.
