Supreme Court upholds Wike’s election
The Supreme Court on Friday upheld the two appeals filed by Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, challenging the decision of the Appeal Court, which upturned the dismissal of a petition filed by the African Action Congress (AAC) and its candidate in the March 9 governorship election, Festus Awara.
The appeals were against the decisions of the Court of Appeal, reversing the two decisions of the state governorship election petitions tribunal.

But, the Supreme Court in its judgment delivered by Justice Ejembi Eko upheld the two appeals filed by Wike and declared them meritorious.
