A 17-year-old girl was reportedly gang-raped and killed in Ogwugwu, Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra State, it was learnt yesterday.

The deceased, said to have just finished her West African Senior Secondary School Examination (WASSCE), was attacked about 7pm on her way to buy garri for dinner.

It was gathered that the suspects, believed to be known to her, lured her to an uncompleted storey building and committed the act.

A source said: “The boys took advantage of her innocence and lured her to an uncompleted building where she was raped in turns until she became weak and gasped for breath.
