There are lines you don’t cross as a Hausa girl –Kannywood actress Rahama Sadau
In one of her rare comments after she was banned from Kannywood over the role she played in a compromising scene in a romantic music video by Jos born singer, ClassiQ, actress Rahama Sadau noted that there are lines Hausa girls are not allowed to cross.
But Rahama said such restrictions, will not stop her from being creative as she is ready to take on more daring roles.
Speaking during an interview, Rahama said; “In reality, I am a northern Hausa girl, and I have lines I would never cross, like mode of dressing or basic public ethics. I belong there and most of my fans are from the north. I don’t have to restrict my fans or make an enemy of some which shows in the way I conduct myself most times.
Continuing, Rahama added that; “One perception about acting in the northern part where I come from is that it seems abnormal as the culture dictates, but I took it professionally despite the challenge this perception holds. Yet I am like a role model to many who appreciates acting in the northern part of Nigeria. If I am not an actor, I would have been a model. There’s nothing wrong with it as long as I conduct myself in a manner”.

The actress who recently got an invitation from international music star, Akon, and US-based Nigerian film-maker, Jeta Amata, to visit the set of their new film in Hollywood – Los Angeles, when asked if she could marry an actor said; “Yes I can, why not?   An actor would understand me better as long as the person knows the rules of the industry, but not an actor from the other side, who out of norms would want me to stop acting.”
