Tottenham bid for Chelsea’s Victor Moses

Latest reports emanating from England reveal that Tottenham Hotspur have made a bid for Chelsea outcast Victor Moses, although Stoke City could scupper any deal as they want to re-sign the Nigerian on a permanently deal. Mauricio Pochettino is looking to bolster his strike force this summer having relied heavily on Harry Kane for goals last term. The 21-year-old striker responded by scoring 32 goals in all competitions and will go into the next campaign as first choice. But should Kane suffer a drop of form or injury, Pochettino cannot rely on Roberto Soldado or Emmanuel Adebayor, meaning he needs to dip into the transfer market. According to the aforementioned source, Spurs have already missed out on the likes of Jay Rodriguez and Carlos Bacca this summer, with the latter preferring a move to Liverpool. Those disappointments mean Pochettino has turned his attention to Chelsea’s Moses who spent last season on loan at Stoke City. Moses performed well at the Britannia last term and managed three goals in 19 league appearances, creating 32 chances for Mark Hughes’ side.
