Trapped Tanzanian gold miners rescued after 41 days

Respite came the way of five gold miners in western Tanzania who were trapped underground for 41 days, while 12 others are yet to be found local police say.
In the heat of their turmoil, the miners resorted to eating roots, soil, frogs and cockroaches in a bid to survive.
The group had gone underground to rescue 11 other miners when they became trapped, police said.

The five lucky miners are now receiving treatment at a hospital in the western part of Tanzania.
