Out-of-favour Super Eagles striker, Anthony Ujah, scored his ninth goal of the season as his relegation-troubled Werder Bremen played a 2-2 home draw with Darmstadt on Saturday.

Ujah netted in the 33rd minute in the Bundesliga contest at a packed Weserstadion but it was not enough to guarantee maximum points as goals from Sandro Wagner and Aytac Sulu briefly threatened to give the visitors the win.

West Ham managed a 1-0 victory against Sunderland but their Nigerian striker, Emmanuel Emenike, did not score in the encounter.

Emenike who scored a brace in their 5-1 FA Cup win over Blackburn two weekends ago, started his first English Premier League match but could not score his first EPL goal before he was substituted in the 60th minute. His compatriot, Victor Moses, also came on in the 65th minute.

Odion Ighalo ended the month of February without a goal as he fired blanks in Watford’s goalless draw with AFC Bournemouth at Vicarage Road. The Super Eagles star was involved for 90 minutes. Mikel Obi starred in Chelsea’s come-from – behind 2-1 win against Southampton at St Mary’s. For the eighth time in nine EPL games, the 29-year-old was on from start to finish.
