Usher’s alleged herpes scandal could cost him $40m

Usher and his ongoing public scandal involving him allegedly spreading the herpes virus just got deeper.

The 38-year-old “Confessions” singer, whose real name is Usher Raymond IV, was diagnosed with herpes in 2009 or 2010, according to the court papers. But nonetheless, he had unprotected sex with the claimant without confessing that he was carrying the virus.

Over the weekend, a woman identified only as Jane Doe sued the R & B singer for $10 million for allegedly exposing her to herpes. Now, the same woman says she’s tested positive for the STD and is seeking an additional $30 million in punitive damages, emotional harm and medical expenses.

Usher who reportedly paid a former lover $1.1 million to settle a lawsuit after claiming she contracted herpes from the singer is yet to comment on the allegations or reports.
