Women’s AFCON: Dennerby calls up Oshoala, Oparanozie, 46 other Falcons to camp

Falcons to face Gambia in 2018 AWCON qualifiers

Ahead of the 2018 Arica Women Cup of Nations (AFCON), Super Falcons Head Coach, Thomas Dennerby, has called up 48 players to camp.

The list comprises of 29 home–based and 19 overseas–based professionals.

All the invited players, which include the reigning African Women’s Player of the Year, Asisat Oshoala, Onome Ebi and Desire Oparanoize, are to report to the Jubilee Chalets, Epe, Lagos on Thursday.

The team will be hoping to defend their title at the 11th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations which will take place in Ghana next month, and the draw has been scheduled for Sunday, October 21.
