28 yr-old man arrested in Awka for defiling 11- year-old deaf and dumb

A 28 -year-old man Ifeanyi Alagba has been arrested by the Police in Anambra State for allegedly defiling an 11- year- old deaf and dumb girl.

The suspect was nabbed by police detectives attached to ‘B’ division Awka during the democracy day celebration on Wednesday.

The Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Mr Mohammed Haruna, in a statement on Thursday said the suspect allegedly had unlawful carnal knowledge with the eleven-year-old deaf and dumb girl while the victim’s mother was away.

Haruna said the victim had been taken to the hospital for proper medical examination while the case was still under proper investigation.
