Army ambush, kill two Boko Haram insurgents

There seems to be no respite in sight in the fight against the Boko Haram insurgency, as two suicide bombers reportedly killed more than 60 people at an Internally Displaced Persons, IDP, camp in Dikwa, Borno State Tuesday evening.

According to reports from military and emergency services sources, the two suicide bombers detonated their devices at the camp when the IDPs were waiting on the line to collect their food rations.

Dikwa is about 85 kilometers from Maiduguri,  the Borno State capital.

Though the attack took place Tuesday evening, the report could not go out because of the disruption of telecommunications services in the area.

There has been an upsurge in the violent activities of the group lately even after the Federal Government claimed they have been ‘technically defeated’.
