Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics calls off strike
The two-month old strike by the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) has been suspended.
The National President of the union, Usman Dutse, announced the suspension at the end of an emergency meeting of the National Executive Council (NEC) of the Polytechnic lecturers in Abuja on Tuesday.
Dutse further directed all members to resume academic activities on Wednesday 13, February.

The union had been at loggerheads with the government over the non implementation of the 2017 agreement reached by both parties.
