Five months after losing out to Willie Obiano of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA in his bid to become governor of Anambra State, Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has declared his intention to run for presidency come 2019.

The son of veteran actor Pete Edochie made his intention public when he shared a message on his Instagram page asking his fans to stand with him as he plots to become the next president of Nigeria.

He wrote; “Today I declare my interest to run for President of the greatest country in the world, Nigeria. It is a blessed country that has been crippled by decades of bad leadership.

“Enough is Enough! Fellow Nigerians, stand with me let us bring the problems of our country to the THE LAST BUS STOP!!!”

The actor who contested on the platform of the Democratic People’s Congress, DPC, at the last governorship election in Anambra State which was staged last November polled I45 votes to emerge 19 out of 37 contenders that jostled for the governorship stool according to final results released by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

Recall that immediately after he lost out in the last Anambra governorship election, the actor turned politician quickly congratulated Governor Obiano on his victory at the polls on social media.
