The feeling of having to go through a break up or a possible divorce is sometimes disheartening for the parties concerned but becomes fresh gist when the cracks become clear for all to see.

Fresh scoop straight from the oven suggests that the marriage of filmmaker and actor Kunle Afolayan and his wife Tolu may have hit the rocks.

Rumour mills say the marriage between the pair which was consummated in 2007 and blessed with four kids is now history over allegations of infidelity after a failed attempt to salvage their troubled union as husband and wife.

AISHA BUHARI

This is not the first time that Aisha Buhari, wife of the President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari has decided to be the woman of her own.

Aisha has reportedly been missing from the Presidential Villa for two months and inside scoop says she left in protests over “certain developments” in the presidency.

The recent development even becomes more worrisome as it comes months after she announced the change of the title of her office from Wife of the President to First Lady last June. The gossip community is quaking with insinuations that she has ‘packed out’. Not even her October 1 letter wishing Nigerians well, written from a foreign land, is good to calm tingly ears.

ADELE & SKEPTA

Nobody really suspected anything when Grammy Award winning British singer Adele and Nigerian-British rapper Skepta were recently spotted together attending events as a couple.

But the gist mill has been spinning with reckless abandon with tales that the pair are actually in a relationship and are taking their romance to another level.

The reported relationship between Skepta and Adele has dominated global media with fresh scoop even suggesting that there are already pointers that both are nursing a marriage ambition.

EEDRIS ABDULKAREEM

Questions have been asked about the whereabouts of ‘Jagajaga’ crooner Eedris Abdulkareem after he was seen in a video with the co-covener of the #RevolutionNow movement, Omoyele Sowore, calling on Nigerians to heed the call or revolution.

Close watchers were even expecting the rapper to be at the forefront of protests demanding the release of Sowore after his arrest by the DSS but the energetic singer has been AWOL.

The grapevine has, however, revealed that the former Remedies band member has decided to remain silent for the time being over fears he may be hounded and sent to jail just like his pal, Sowore.

TIWA SAVAGE

‘Mama Jam Jam’ as she is fondly called by her close fans has been in the news of late after she was criticised by sports analyst, Charles Anazodo for not saying hi to him when she arrived BEAT FM for a radio interview.

However, the fresh scoop about the sexy songstress is not the back and forth she had with Charles Anazodo but questions she was asked by ace broadcaster Olisa Adibua during the radio interview.

When quizzed about her relationship, the former Supreme Mavin Dynasty (SMD) musician, said her relationship with Wizkid was purely on a business level and not romance which most of the music videos between the two of them may had suggested.

Oh well, the talk about ‘friendship for benefits’ still has many tongues wagging.

TITI LAOYE-TOMORI

Former Deputy Governor of Osun State Titi Laoye-Tomori has taken a fresh shot at marriage for a second time after she walked down the aisle with her heartthrob Michael Ponle in a secret marriage.

The 70-year old who was once married to a professor (a union that produced four kids) took another chance at love with Ponle with gist revealing that groom decided to take the hand of Tomori in marriage after the death of his first wife Comfort Olufunke in 2012.

Feelers also revealed that her secret wedding was devoid of all the fanfare considering her status as a former deputy governor of the state even as no member of her church, Mountain of Fire Ministries (MFM) were present at the occasion, raising fears that they may not be in support of her marriage to her second husband.

ABDULSALAM RABIU

The harsh business climate in Nigeria seems to be taking its toll on the Chairman of BUA Group, Abdulsalam Rabiu.

Gist reveals that the businessman seems to be struggling to get over the many challenges he is faced with to get his business running even after selling his flour mill to Olam International of Singapore.

Though, he went on to build a state of the art office with some of the proceeds of that sale, fresh scoop reveals that Abdulsalam is battling to save his BUA Terminal in Port Harcourt, Rivers State which is set for decommissioning by Hadiza Usman, Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA).

GENEVIEVE NNAJI

Nollywood actress Genevieve Nnaji has been on a high after her movie ‘Lionheart’ was nominated for the 2020 Oscars in the category of Best International Film.

Reacting to the development, the actress was thrilled that her movie which is the first entry for Nigeria is an honour and she’s glad to be a part of such a pivotal moment in the history of Nigerian cinema.

But critics say that’s as far as she can get as they question the strength of the movie which will most probably come up against properly produced entries from other parts of the world.

DAVIDO

These are certainly the best of times for ‘Skelewu’ crooner, Davido as fresh scoop reveals that he has been featured on the latest album of American artist, Chris Brown.

Gist also has it that the 32-song album, titled ‘Indigo Extended’, was released midnight on Friday is a follow up to the singer’s original ‘Indigo’ album.

The development comes after it was revealed that Davido has just secured a role in the sequel of the 1988 romantic comedy classic, “Coming To America”.

The million dollar question on everybody’s lips is who will emerge as this year’s winner of the Big Brother Naija reality TV show.

Voting for this season’s winner closed on Friday night leaving top five- Mercy, Mike, Seyi, Frodd and Omatshola – at the finish line for the grand prize worth N60 million.

Though its hard to tell who the eventual winner of the contest will be but gist has it that the trio of Tiwa Savage, MI Abaga and Patoranking will end the ‘Pepper Dem’ season in grand style with performances.
