BOTSWANA: Authorities hang man convicted of murdering girlfriend, child

Joseph Poni Tselayarona, 28, the man convicted by a court in Botswana of murdering his girlfriend and her child, has been executed by hanging according to prison service.

Tselayarona who reportedly committed the crime in the year 2010 when he killed his spouse and her three-year-old son, died by the hangers noose on Saturday.

The execution of Tselayarona is the first in two years by Botswana which is the only nation yet to abolish the death penalty in Southern Africa.
