Nigeria home based team, the CHAN Eagles, have declared their readiness to battle Angola national team and their Ivorian counterpart as part of preparation for the 2016 African Nations Cup Championship billed for Rwanda.

The Eagles are due to fly out to Lagos early Saturday morning before they connect their flight to South Africa later in the afternoon.

They will be based in Pretoria, which is on a higher altitude than Johannesburg.

According to Super Eagles media officer, Toyin Ibitoye, the dates for the test matches against fellow CHAN-bound teams have been confirmed.

The Super Eagles will face Angola on January 6 and then Cote d’Ivoire on January 11 in warm-up matches all in South Africa ahead of the CHAN in Rwanda.

Meanwhile, the CHAN Eagles defeated Rising Stars Academy 3-0 in a test game on Thursday in Abuja as they continued their preparation for the 2016 CHAN in Rwanda.

Sunshine Stars striker, Tunde Adeniji, opened scoring for the Eagles in the first half, before experienced midfielder, Bartholomew Ibenegbu and Samson Gbadebo completed the scoring after the break.

The main team played the first half with the second team coming in for the second 45 minutes.

The CHAN will begin on January 16 in Kigali and Nigeria are drawn against Niger, Tunisia and Guinea in the group phase.
