Nigeria national football team squad will be playing Angola and Ivory Coast in two friendly games next month when they travel to South Africa for their training tour ahead of the 2016 CHAN.

The Eagles will play the home based Elephants of Cote d’Ivoire on January 9, and then play Angola two days later.

The games will help prepare the teams for the CHAN in Rwanda, as all three of them will be participating in the competition, which starts on January 16.

Meanwhile, the Home-based Super Eagles have been given a two-day break to enable them to celebrate Christmas with their loved ones.

Toyin Ibitoye, the Super Eagles’ Media Officer said the break would begin on December 24 to 25.

According to Ibitoye, the players are expected to return to camp on December 26, for resumption of training on December 27.
“There will be no training on the 24th and 25th. They have been told to go and spend the days with their family members if they wish to do so.

“But those who are not willing to travel can stay in the camp; those who travelled are expected to return on December 26, while training resumes on December 27,’’ Ibitoye said.
