Comedian AY leads Team Jamaica to defeat against ex-Super Eagles

The Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, Lagos came alive on the 24th of September when stand-up comedian AY staged and took part in a novelty match between ex-Super Eagles players and Team Jamaica.

The match featured prominent Jamaican ex-National team players such as Deon Burton, John Lawrence, James Hubert, and Kevin Lisbie playing against ex-Nigerian football players such as Kanu Nwankwo, Ogbonna Kanu, Jay Jay Okocha, Peter Rufai, Joseph Yobo, Victor Agali, Mutiu Adepoju, and Victor Ikpeba to mention a few.

The novelty match which witnessed the presence of NFF Chairman, Amaju Pinnick also saw the participation of comedians, musicians and actors such as Akpororo, Ali Baba, Aki, Pencil, AY, Sound Sultan, Tekno, Reekado Banks, AND Sexy Steel.

In the highly entertaining encounter, the ex-Super Eagles team trounced Team Jamiaca by three goals to one (3-1) with Jay Jay Okocha, Kanu Nwankwo and Agali scoring for the Eagles while Akpororo got the lone goal for Team Jamaica.

Speaking after the novelty match, AY said the exercise was fitting way to announce the movie project to the world based on the passion held by diverse cultures for football while also calling on Nigerians to watch out for the movie which has already been premiered.
