COVID-19: Osun records 3rd death

Osun State has lost another patient to COVID-19, making the total persons to die of the virus in the state three.

The state Commissioner for Health, Dr. Rafiu Isamotu made the announcement in a statement on Saturday.

He said the deceased was in her late 60s and died at the isolation centre in General Hospital, Asubiaro, Osogbo.

The commissioner, meanwhile, said three health workers who tested positive to the disease in the state had recovered.

He further disclosed that the COVID-19 index case in the state had been discharged after spending thirty-eight days in isolation.

He said, “With the development, the total number of active cases in the State is now eight.

“On a sad note, we lost a COVID-19 patient in her late 60s at our isolation centre in Osogbo. We pray God to grant her eternal rest and give her family the fortitude to bear the loss.”
