David Beckham wants to go into acting

English footballer, David Beckham, has indicted interest in taking up acting as a career after he hangs his boots for good.

In an interview with The Times in London last weekend, David discussed his next career move as his retirement in soccer draws close. He told the paper: “I am very aware that many sportsmen and other celebrities have turned their hand to acting and failed. I know that it is a tough profession, where you need a huge amount of skill and discipline, and I wouldn’t want to push myself forward too soon, without learning more about it, and doing a lot more practice.”

Beckham is not new in the industry, he has tried his hand in acting before; he had a cameo in the recently released film The Man From U.N.C.L.E., as well as a guest appearance on a sketch for the show Sports Relief. He’s also going to be featured in the upcoming film King Arthur, starring Jude Law

He said of his success so far: “But what I have done so far, I have loved. I can deal with most things. I am a well-known person, so I have got used to criticism.”
