Debt: Hotel, restaurant eject Nasarawa players
No fewer than 12 newly-signed Nasarawa United players were ejected from their Lafia hotel after the Premier League club allegedly failed to settle their bills.
PUNCH correspondent learnt that the players are allegedly being owed four months’ salaries by the Nasarawa State Government-owned club.
It was learnt that the management of the club had lodged the players at Dunoma Plaza Hotel since October last year.
Sources told PUNCH correspondent that the players were also ejected by the management of Chigozie Restaurant and Bars where they were being fed because the club allegedly failed to pay them.
PUNCH correspondent learnt that the players have been squatting with their friends in the state capital since they were ejected by the hotel.
