Dogara in secret meeting with ministerial nominees

A secret meeting took place on Monday between Speaker Yakubu Dogara and some of the ministerial nominees of President Muhammadu Buhari.
The nominees were in the National Assembly to see the Speaker.
Those who went into a closed door meeting with Dogara included Aisha Bello (Sokoto); Zainab Ahmed (Kaduna); Khadija Bukar Abba Ibrahim (Yobe); Suleiman Bello (Adamawa); Brig. Gen. Mansur Dan Ali (Zamfara) and Senator Heineken Lokpobiri (Bayelsa).
They were led to the meeting by Senator Ita Enang, Senior Special Advisers to the President on National Assembly Matters (Senate) and his counterpart in the House of Representatives, Hon. Abdulrahman Sumaila Kawu.

Though no reason was given for the meeting, it was learnt that it might not be unconnected with the ongoing ministerial screening by the Senate.
Efforts by newsmen to extract reasons for the visit from the nominees were fruitless as none of them offered to speak up.
