Ebonyi: Police grab PVC thief

A man identified as Ozemena Odeta who allegedly snatched about 300 Permanent Voters Cards (PVC) from INEC staff has been arrested while distributing the cards to voters who agreed to vote for his preferred candidate.

The man arrested at Ekawoke Ward in Ikwo local government area, Ebonyi State was said to have snatched the cards during the last distribution exercise in the area.

Reports say he disappeared from the community afterwards, but resurfaced during the election.

A police source confirmed the report, adding, that investigation had commenced into the matter to ascertain the involvement of any other suspects
