A number of people on Tuesday escaped death when the convoy of the Edo state Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Dan Orbih, was involved in a ghastly auto accident, at the notorious Ewu hill sector, of the Benin/Auchi Expressway.
The accident resulted from an articulated vehicle, coming down the hill from the Benin end, which ran into the Chairman’s convoy from behind, pushing the convoy of cars off the road and into a ravine.

The State Chairman and others in the convoy were unhurt as they were able to crawl out of the ravine. However two passengers in one of the other vehicles sustained various degrees of injuries, and were transported to the Irrua Specialist Hospital for medical attention.
