INSECURITY: Buhari, Osinbajo, security chiefs, meet behind closed door

President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday held a meeting with the nation’s service chiefs at the presidential villa in Abuja.

The meeting is coming on the heels of barrage of criticisms President Muhammadu Buhari has had to suffer since the beginning of the year over worsening security situation in the country.

Attacks in different parts have seen suspected Fulani herdsmen killing innocent Nigerians in Benue and other states of the federation with reckless abandon.

While the agenda of the meeting with the security chiefs is yet to be known, it is believed that it may not be unconnected with the vexed issue of herdsmen and other security challenges in the country.

The meeting also had in attendance Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, the Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), and the Comptroller General of Immigration.
