Italian officials knock British police as third London attacker is named

Moments after naming the identity of the third London attacker identified as Youssef Zaghba, British police received hard knocks from Italian officials who claim they passed on concerns about the attacker to British intelligence officials last year.

According to UK police, Zaghba, 22, who was involved in the London stabbing spree alongside two others Khuram Shazad Butt and Rachid Redouane, lived in London and had not been considered to be a “person of interest” to either police or the intelligence services – meaning they had no reason to think he was violent or planning an attack.

Recall that Zaghba and his two other accomplices were gunned down by cops after ramming a van they drove into pedestrians on London Bridge and then slashing and stabbing people seven people to death and wounding dozens others in an incident that happened close to Borough Market.
