Iwobi: Arsenal focused on winning mentality

Arsenal youngster Alex Iwobi says the players have been working on their mentality and are ready to take each match as it comes.

Iwobi came off the bench in The Gunners’ 6-0 thrashing of Ludogorets Wednesday night, but has started the last four Premier League games for his side while having the freedom to pick up both wide and central positions.

The 20-year-old has insisted that the Champions League win is the biggest margin of victory that he has been associated with as a senior player, and that the team can take momentum from the manner of the victory in the away trip in November.

“We’re not trying to get ahead of ourselves, we’re taking each game as it comes,” Iwobi told Arsenal‘s official website.

“It’s basically our mental side that we were working on. We’ve still added that to our game and we believed if we’re mentally prepared in ourselves for this game that we would do well in November and it won’t be such a tough time, hopefully.”

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain was handed his first start in some time at The Emirates last night and filled in for Iwobi excellently, picking up a goal and an assist.
