Iwobi starts, Aubameyang scores as Arsenal win at Bournemouth

Super Eagles forward, Alex Iwobi was on from the start while Gabonese striker, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored the winner for Arsenal in win against Bournemouth.

With the win, the Gunners extended their unbeaten run to 17 in all competitions.

They took the lead in the half-hour mark after a spectacular own-goal from Jefferson Lerma, who volleyed Sead Kolasinac’s cross past Asmir Begovic from 15 yards.

In response, Joshua King finished off a swift counter-attacking move to bring the hosts level seconds before half-time.

But Aubameyang scored what proved to be the winner when he converted Kolasinac’s cross on 67 minutes.

The Gabon star is now the Premier League’s joint top scorer with eight goals.

Despite the defeat, Bournemouth stay eighth in the table but have now lost their past three league matches.

Meanwhile, the Unai Emery side secured their fourth Premier League away win of the campaign – equalling their tally for the whole of last season.

Arsenal move to within one point of the top four as they stand with 27 points, behind fourth-placed Chelsea with 28 points from 13 matches.
