Jesus Navas rejoins Sevilla on four-year deal

After spending four years at Manchester City, Spain winger, Jesus Navas has returned to Sevilla on a free transfer.

The 31-year old has now agreed a four-year deal with his former club, where he won the Uefa Cup in 2006 and 2007.

Navas’ contract with the Etihad club expired this summer as he joined in June, 2013 from Sevilla on a four-year deal worth £14.9m.

While at City, Navas made 173 appearances for City, scoring eight goals, but played just 24 league games last season.

He won the Premier League and two EFL Cups during his four years at Manchester City.

Navas, who joined the La Liga side at age 15 in 2003, played 393 times before moving to England.

And he will break Sevilla’s appearance record if he makes 27 more appearances at his return to Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, with Juan Arza Inigo holding the record on 419.
