Afraid that people who returned from COVID-19 infected states might be with the virus, Katsina State government has begun house-to-house search for returnees.

The returnees are those from Lagos, Abuja and other states with record of COVID-19 pandemic.

This was disclosed on Tuesday by the Chairman of Katsina COVID-19 Sub Committee and Commissioner for Information, Haddi Mohammed Tsirika.

According to him, the state had no other option than resort to the home search after most of the returnees followed bushpaths to evade medical screening at the inter-state borders.
