Don’t get too excited, Buhari will never approve state, LGA police – Fani-Kayode

Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, has wondered why leaders of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the South West appear to be silent over alleged killing of the people of the region by “Fulani herdsmen.”

The former minister wondered if his tribesmen in APC have all become “deaf, dumb and blind”.

He stated this in a post on his official Twitter handle on Monday.

He said, “Why is it that not one leading Yoruba figure or leader in the @OfficialAPCNg has condemned the killing of the Yoruba in the South West by the terrorist Fulani herdsmen, ISWA and Boko Haram? Have they all gone deaf, dumb and blind?”

Fani-Kayode’s post is coming just as the Yoruba Youth Council (YYC), last Saturday raised the alarm over the incessant ‘kidnappings’ in the southwestern region of the country by some unscrupulous elements, alleged to be Fulani herdsmen, who demand outrageous ransom before releasing the victims.

YYC, in a statement issued after an emergency meeting attended by representatives from all the South West states had said it was worried and aware that the herdsmen had laid siege on the Yorubaland by perpetrating all forms of criminal activities including kidnapping innocent persons and striking them to death.
