Kogi Speaker reclaims seat for Kabba/Bunu Constituency

The Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly, Mr. Matthew Kolawole of the All Progressive Congress (APC) was on Sunday declared winner in the state House of assembly election to represent Kabba/Bunu state Constituency for another four years.

Kolawole gained 17,248 votes against his rival, Mr. Alfred Bello of PDP, who scored 9,337 votes followed by Mr. Aiyenale Fred of ADC, who gained 2,172 votes.

Dr Kizito Sunday, the Returning Officer who declared the results at the INEC Collation Centre in Kabba on Sunday said:

“Mathew Kolawole is therefore returned as duly elected, having scored the highest votes in the election.’’
